About Us

Built by people who enjoy the details

Latitude ATC exists because organised aviation is more fun than chaos. We run a Roblox air traffic control network where pilots and controllers work to the same expectations, communicate clearly and look after each other.

Who We Are

A community-run network

Latitude ATC is an independent, volunteer-led Roblox aviation community. We are not affiliated with Roblox Corporation, and we are not a real-world air navigation service.

What we are is a group of pilots and controllers who wanted a network with proper structure: positions you can progress through, phraseology everyone shares, and rules that are short enough that people actually read them.

Everything on this site describes how our Roblox community runs. Nothing here represents a real airport, airspace or authority.

An important distinction

Latitude ATC is a Roblox aviation community. We do not control real aircraft, and our positions and clearances exist only inside the game.

What we are about

Clear communication, orderly traffic and a network that anyone can learn.

What Matters

Three ideas we build on

These are the principles behind our rulebook, our applications and how we handle sessions.

Organisation

Clear positions, clear responsibilities and clear expectations. When everyone knows their role, sessions run smoothly and the focus stays on enjoying the flying.

Communication

Consistent phraseology, listened-to instructions and a willingness to ask when something is unclear. Most problems on the network are communication problems.

Respect

Every member started somewhere. New pilots get patience, new controllers get mentoring, and nobody is expected to know everything on day one.

Structure

How the network is organised

Roles are clearly separated so that pilots, controllers and staff each know what they are responsible for.

Pilots
Fly on the network, request taxi and departure clearances, follow the instructions they receive, and operate within the published procedures and restrictions.
Controllers
Work an authorised position, issue clearances and taxi instructions, maintain separation between aircraft, and coordinate traffic with neighbouring positions.
Staff
Handle applications, run training, review reports, maintain the rulebook and keep the network operating smoothly for everyone else.
Training
New members are walked through the basics for their role before they are cleared to operate independently.
Verification
Members verify their Roblox account so the community can link and confirm their identity. Verification does not involve sharing a password.

Who It Is For

You do not need experience

We ask for one thing from everyone: a willingness to read the rules and treat other members with respect.

Fluent in the game, new to ATC

You know how to fly in Roblox but have never worked a position. Ground is a good starting point — it is the calmest way to learn how a network runs.

Experienced pilot, curious about controlling

You know what a good session looks like from the cockpit and want to be responsible for it from the other side. The ATC application is where you start.

Enjoys structure and detail

Phraseology, checklists and orderly traffic are the interesting part for you. You will feel right at home here.

Wants to help the community

If you enjoy teaching, reviewing and supporting others, the staff application is the way in.

Still deciding?

Read the operations manual and the rules, then come and ask us anything in Discord. There is no wrong question.
